• 🕵️‍♂️ Blur effect: You can now apply a blur effect to your videos. This is useful if you want to hide sensitive information. You can enable it by selecting a screen clip on the canvas and click on the blur button.
• 🖼️ Crop: You can now crop clips on the canvas. This is useful if you want to limit the area of the screen that is visible, or if you want to better align your camera recording.
• 🔤 Better caption controls: You can now freely move and customize captions.

• Export individual scenes. You can now export individual scenes from your video. (When exporting a video, select “Custom settings”).

• 🔤 Captions. You can now add Captions to your videos! You can choose between many styles, with more customization options coming in the next release.
• 📜 Better transcriptions. We introduced several improvements to our transcription engine:
  • Improved accuracy and synchronization on transcripts in English, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian and Swedish.
  • In the past, Borumi sometimes transcribed in the wrong language, so we introduced the ability to explicitly select the Transcription language in the settings.

• 🔈 System audio recording. You can now record your system audio by enabling the “System Sound” source in the Record tool. On macOS, this feature requires macOS 14.2 or newer.
• 🖱️ Cursor customizations. You can now customize the cursor style, size and behavior. This includes:
  • Choosing between Mac or Windows-style cursor.
  • Hiding the cursor.
  • Disabling the behavior that hides your camera when overlapping the cursor.
  • Hiding the cursor when still.
• 📷 Camera rotation. You can now rotate your camera inside Borumi, making it easy to record portrait videos.

• 🔈 Enhanced Audio Quality. You can now enable an “Enhanced Audio” mode that improves microphone quality by automatically adjusting volume and reducing noise, resulting in better videos.
